Stars of the Industry Awards

Stars of the Industry recognizes your exceptional employees and programs.  Nominations are open to all members, and there is no better way to show your appreciation to your staff.

Some partner states offer award programs that correspond with only some national honors. Virginia is one of those states that has a Stars of the Industry awards program, called the Outstanding Industry Awards (see above). These state winners will be considered for the national honor, and applications will only be accepted if submitted by the state association. All entries must be submitted through VHTA. These categories include Outstanding Lodging Employee of the Year, Outstanding Manager of the Year, and Outstanding General Manager of the Year. Nominations for additional categories listed under Star of the Industry Awards program may be submitted directly through AH&LA. Click here for more information.

Restaurant Neighbor Award

Fourteen years ago, the National Restaurant Association together with the award’s founding partner, American Express, created the Restaurant Neighbor Award to help honor restaurants in the field of outstanding community service and involvement. Ninety percent of restaurants are actively involved in community activities and this award highlights the positive contributions restaurants make in their local neighborhoods each and every day.
